Sage 200 vs Xero: what changes during migration?
Sage 200 and Xero do not store or control accounting data in exactly the same way. A good migration translates the accounting history deliberately instead of forcing a one-for-one copy where the destination behaves differently.

What happens to WAP, Sicon and other Sage 200 add-ons when you move to Xero?
A Sage 200 migration is often bigger than the core ledger. We review the add-ons and workflows around Sage so the business knows what needs replacing, redesigning or retiring before go-live.
Sage 200 environments commonly use tools such as WAP / Sicon Approvals, Sicon Documents, Projects, Construction, CIS, manufacturing or other specialist modules. These applications are not “migrated into Xero” as software. Instead, we identify what each module is doing for the business and agree how that function should work in the future Xero ecosystem.

Xero can be combined with an approval / purchasing app such as ApprovalMax, Xero Expenses and other workflow tools depending on the controls your business needs.

Depending on scope, the handover can include source-to-Xero Trial Balance comparison, aged-ledger checks, VAT review, migration workings, mapping schedules and documented exceptions.
