Why Sage 200 to Xero Matters Now – and How we can help

Sage 200 to Xero matters – Manufacturing Module Is Being Retired

In June 2025, Sage issued a formal notice reminding partners that the Sage 200 Manufacturing module will be removed from Sage 200 in the 2025 R2 (Autumn 2025) release.
All support for all versions of that manufacturing module will end on 31 December 2025.
Furthermore, Sage has stipulated that orders for certified replacement solutions must have been placed by 31 August 2025 to qualify for migration offers (with contract effective date September 2025).

This retirement is a signal to companies relying on Sage 200 (especially the manufacturing add-on) that they must make a decision: either migrate to a supported solution, adopt a certified manufacturing replacement (e.g. Cim200 or Sicon), or move away from the Sage ecosystem entirely.

For many businesses, this is a compelling moment to switch to Xero , especially if their operations are already leaning toward cloud, agility, integrations, and cost effectiveness.

The Opportunity: Why Clients Are Looking for migrating their accounts from Sage 200 to Xero

Here are key drivers pushing companies to migrate:

  • End of support: With Sage retiring modules and support, continuing with legacy systems poses risk and increasing maintenance burden.
  • Cloud & modern architecture: Xero is cloud-native, accessible from anywhere, and integrates with many modern tools (inventory, CRM, apps).
  • Lower total cost of ownership: No heavy on-prem updates, server maintenance, or large annual upgrade costs.
  • Scalability & flexibility: As your business grows or changes direction, Xero’s marketplace integrations make adaptation easier.
  • Better ecosystem & automation: Automated bank feeds, app integrations, workflows, dashboards.
